Why did the school board decide on a 5,500 square foot addition on the high school?
The lack of space in the school has been identified as a high priority need. Currently students are taking classes in the commons area, in rooms not much bigger than closets, in common spaces such as libraries, the stage and even door entryways.

The new addition would be large enough for 4 new classrooms as well as space for restrooms, mechanical, and circulation.
The junior high classes will be moved to the high school wing of the building separating the older students from the youngest students.
By moving the junior high classes to the north end of the school it will create space for a future preschool, special needs and Title 1 programs.
